Karen Sams, Founder & Principal
Karen founded KLS Interactive Marketing Services in 2008 after working in both agency and client-side settings. With more than 21 years of experience in SEO and digital marketing, Karen has worked with many B-to-B and B-to-C companies (of all sizes) across a variety of industries.
The decision to start her own consulting business came from a desire to work from home and be present for her children. As such, she started KLS Interactive shortly after her first child was born. Since then, the company has grown significantly and so has the family, but now all 4 children are in school.
Reflecting on the 16+ years that she has been self-employed, Karen firmly believes she is living the American Dream, something that has not come easily as an immigrant. After moving to the United States from England in 2003 and navigating the various levels of immigration red tape, Karen finally became a US Citizen in 2013.
~ “To be able to run a successful business doing a job that I love AND be around for my children when they need me is living the dream. Yet, none of this would be possible without grit, determination and a lot of hard work.”
